Hey guys! Now, before I say anything about not posting on Thursday and Friday, I’d like to make a small announcement. The intent of making a blogging schedule was for me to be regular with my blog posts. Although the schedule helped me in doing so, I realized that it was also giving me stress. I’d often find myself trying so hard to come up with an idea and when I wasn’t very convinced about it or hadn’t really thought it through, I noticed that I was being mediocre with my posts. I want to give each and every blog post my 100% and I don’t want them to be something I just worked on a few hours before posting.
So I’ve decided to tweak my schedule a little. I’ll be posting at least twice a week on any random day. I hope this will enhance the quality of my posts.
Apart from that, I actually do have a reason for not posting on Thursday and Friday. I felt disappointed in myself. I wasn’t inspired to write or post anything. I’d seen a ton of bloggers posting June Wrap Ups on their blogs and looking at those posts gave me a sickening feeling. I saw that they read and reviewed so many books and posted so much more frequently than I did. I was humiliated and embarrassed – I’d read just two books. I didn’t want to do a June Wrap Up – I felt so…. mediocre.
Eventually, I spoke some sense into my head. I decided to talk to you guys about how I felt. Yes, my traffic may have reduced drastically – but that doesn’t give me a reason to sit and mourn about it. This blog is meant for me to express without any constraints, and that’s what I’m going to do.
June Wrap Up
Books Read and Reviewed:
This time I haven’t decided to include a July TBR. It didn’t quite help and it narrowed down my options. I feel like I would have had a better reading month if I hadn’t been so stubborn about my TBR.
Before I end this post, I have some really really great news for you guys!!! I ended up getting approved for two eARCs on Netgalley!!! I’d just recently made an account and I hadn’t got approved for anything yet, so I’m super excited! I just finished reading a book yesterday and you’ll be seeing a review soon!
Thanks for reading!
